For all that Christ did God is to be given glory. The cleansed leper gave glory to God (Luke 17:11-19). See also Matthew 9:8; 15:31 and Mark 2:12. Also a number of passages in Luke. Christ did not seek his own glory when here (John 7:18; 8:50), and certainly not from men (Matthew 6:2 and John 5:41). Not only men glorified God, but so did the angels in Luke 2:14. What was seen in the raising of Lazarus was the glory of God (John 11:40). |

In fine, all that Christ said and did had its source in God (John 8:28); all the goodness that was manifested in Him He derived from God (John 5:19/20 and Psalm 16:2 possibly - the meaning of the text is uncertain). |
