in a way that suits our own thinking which may well be wrong ! Is the covering to show that the woman is either espoused or actually married, like wearing a wedding ring ? In Paul’s days most women would no doubt have been married or at least espoused. There is no suggestion in the passage that the instructions apply to little children; they would not normally have been praying or prophesying in public anyway. God however can use them if He so wishes, even stones (Matthew 21:15-17; Luke 19:40) ! |
